Awards and Famous People

 

 

Though relatively young, the SMC Faculty enjoys a host of enthusiastic professors, researchers, and students in the areas of computer, mathematics, and statistics. Below, the SMC members who have received national and international awards and honours are named. The list is not exhaustive and is going to be completed.

 

Staff Awards

  • In 2016, Dr Farzad Eskandari, full professor of statistics, succeeded in patenting an international invention entitled the "ICAFF";
  • Dr Mohammad Bameni Moghadam, full professor of statistics, was selected as the best researcher at the SMC Faculty, by ATU Research Council;

 

Student Awards

  • In 2018, Ms Afarin Bayat, a Bachelor's student in the ATU Department of Statistics, received the 3rd Prize in Statistics at the 23rd National Student Olympiads.
  • In 2018, Mr Ali Zohreh, a Bachelor's student in the ATU Department of Statistics, received the 7th Prize in Statistics at the 23rd National Student Olympiads.
  • In 2019, Mr Hamid Jahani, a Bachelor's student in the ATU Department of Statistics, received the 2nd Prize in Statistics at the 24th National Student Olympiads.
  • In 2019, Mr Mohammad-Mojtaba Darbandi, a Bachelor's student in the ATU Department of Statistics, received the 10th Prize in Statistics at the 24th National Student Olympiads.
  • In 2020, Mr Hamid Jahani, a Bachelor's student in the ATU Department of Statistics, received the 3rd Prize in Statistics at the 25rd National Student Olympiads.
  • In 2020, Mr Hussien Ahmadi, a Bachelor's student in the ATU Department of Statistics, received the 3rd Prize in Statistics at the 25rd National Student Olympiads.
  • In 2020, Mr Parsa Foroozesh Far, a Bachelor's student in the ATU Department of Statistics, received the 3rd Prize in Statistics at the 25rd National Student Olympiads.
  • In 2020, Ms Hanieh Sherafatmand jo, a Bachelor's student in the ATU Department of Statistics, received the 3rd Prize in Statistics at the 25rd National Student Olympiads.
  • In 2020, Ms Alya Ala Begi  , a Bachelor's student in the ATU Department of Statistics, received the 3rd Prize in Statistics at the 25rd National Student Olympiads.
